Kennecott Land’s goal is to build enduring communities on Salt Lake Valley’s West Bench – places that enhance quality of life and respect the natural environment. We are already doing this at Daybreak where more than 2,000 families call this great neighborhood home. Located in the beautiful city of South Jordan at the foot of the Oquirrh Mountains, Daybreak is just the beginning of our vision.

To create a place where you can live, work, play and learn in a walkable vibrant community, we have assembled some of the nation’s best planners, engineers, architects, builders and environmentalists. Daybreak recruited internationally known land planner, Peter Calthorpe of Calthorpe Associates, to assist with this vision. His innovative guidelines have created the framework at Daybreak to build a unique community with a true sense of place. To fulfill our promise to build unique and enduring communities, we have put in place a strong plan for ongoing resident involvement through LiveDAYBREAK, the Daybreak Community Council.
