International Assoc. for Standards — ISO 14001 Environmental Certification
Kennecott Land is the first and only developer in the United States to achieve the ISO 14001 Environmental Certification. We were certified in February 2005 and recertified in February 2006. In order to achieve this international certification, Kennecott Land developed an Environmental Management System which requires the development of an Environmental Policy. The system helps our company be environmentally responsible by keeping a register of regulations, screening projects for potential environmental impacts and conducting internal and external audits. Through fulfillment of its Environmental Policy and our commitment to sustainability, Kennecott Land seeks to achieve excellence in environmental stewardship by complying with regulatory and other requirements to which it subscribes, preventing pollution and continuously improving its environmental performance.
