Kennecott Land

Community health and safety

At Daybreak, our community has been carefully designed for increased pedestrian safety and enhanced walkability with miles of pathways, parks and open space and slower traffic flows. Each home has a front porch that not only makes for a beautiful exterior, but also a safe neighborhood where families are out and about and getting to know their neighbors and keeping an eye on their neighborhood.

As part of Rio Tinto, a global mining company, safety is a core value and top priority to Kennecott Land. Through the implementation of comprehensive guidelines, standards and systems, we work toward building a strong culture of safety unique to the development industry.

We start internally with ongoing education and training for all employees. We integrate safety into both the workplace and our home environments. Next, Kennecott Land places an uncompromising emphasis on working safely for all our contractors who are expected to follow a rigorous safety program.

We also strive to protect our employee’s physical health and well-being in the workplace. Kennecott Land understands that a healthy workforce contributes to business success. Kennecott Land recognizes that integrating safety and health standards into our everyday business and home life improves not only our employees’ productivity and quality of life but also that of the community.
